This is the second demo release for Painkiller , I am sure it will be as good as the first demo. You can download the demo from3D Gamers (http://www.3dgamers.com/games/painkiller/#filelist) or File Planet (http://www.fileplanet.com/).

Well once again I'm very impressed. I did a fast run through the level and it's just gorgeous - frescoed ceilings, lovely water fountains - and a freakin' rocket launcher! Gibs all over the place. Lots of glass to break too, and nicely done in my opinion.

The bit where a big skeleton shotgun warrior grabs a fat biker-dude machine gun guy and uses him as a shield, that was fantastic. I circle-strafed around them, and watching biker-dude's arms & legs swing about and the two of them yelling inscrutable profanities at me was an awesome moment. Then I lined up a stake and stuck it through them! Take That!

I'm buying this game without a doubt. The graphics are lovely, textures are well done, carnage everywhere, and just a bit of campiness but not OTT like some other titles.

This demo is insanely awesome.

Im one of those people thought who try to get all those ending stats (secrets found, etc, etc).

I can only find two freaking secret areas!!! Where the hell are the rest! Its pissing me off. If you find all the places, you get your first card and get to work on the next goal.

Hey BC,

Yeah I only found one secret place in this second demo but since I'm definately buying the game I'll just wait for it. They aren't easy at all! The first demo I only ever found one sacred object in one secret place, that's out of a bunch in two levels. Not to mention there are things that need to be destroyed. Then there are the cards themselves which adds another dimension to the carnage.

This game is brilliant and I have put off Far Cry indefinately so that I can get Painkiller. As beautiful as FC was at GDC - I played it on a huge plasma screen tv with some godlike PC underneath - Painkiller is the one for me.
