It has been brought to my attention that DemonSeed has stated that PST Joker and I have said, there is going to be a SP demo for Modern Warfare 2 via this thread (http://www.codmw2.com/index.php?topic=35.msg685#msg685). (thread removed, thanks to site owner, CODNerd over at codmw2.com)A couple of guys I know who are pretty close to IW (Rudedog and PST*Joker) have said that a MW2 SP demo for PC is planned, and will hit the downloads around mid-October. However, as with all community hear-say (i.e. rumour), you need to take this with a pinch of salt.
It should be noted that neither I nor Joker have said there would be any type of SP Demo. My only comments have come from the interview I had with Jason West during the IW MW2 event in LA a few weeks ago, which states there will be no demo for any platform. - read it here (http://www.fpsadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18419).
DemonSeed goes on to sayThe "rumour" I heard about the possibility of a PC demo came from someone who was out at the MW2 media event in LA last week, and was said to him by Jason West CEO of Infinity Ward. Jason said, off the record, that they were looking at the possibility of a PC demo as IW have always done a PC SP demo in the past, and if it was going to happen, it would happen mid October.
Not sure who he talked to but Jason West told me directly that there will be no demo for either the PC or Console version.
Just wanted to clarify the above.
